Family Activities in Moreton Bay This Weekend
What's actually worth doing with kids across North Lakes, Redcliffe, Mango Hill and the wider Moreton Bay region.
Family Activities in Moreton Bay This Weekend
Moreton Bay doesn't get talked about as much as Brisbane's inner city, but for families it often wins, more space, less traffic, and a genuine sense of community.
The obvious wins
Redcliffe's foreshore is the backbone of a good Moreton Bay weekend, flat paths, playgrounds, and the jetty for an easy walk with a pram. North Lakes' Antsy Pants and the Mango Hill parks scattered through the newer estates are close, free, and rarely crowded.
For a full day out
Bribie Island is close enough for a day trip and calm enough for young swimmers. Woody Point's foreshore has shade, a playground, and enough café options nearby that nobody has to pack a picnic if they don't want to.
What locals actually do
Ask any Moreton Bay parent and you'll hear the same answer, the region runs on its own rhythm of markets, local Facebook groups, and small events that never quite make it onto the big tourism sites. That's part of why building a real local village matters here more than most places.
Where PPP fits in
This is one of the regions PPP is most active in. Local In-Home Angels know the difference between a North Lakes Tuesday and a Redcliffe Sunday, and that local knowledge is worth more than any list.
If you're newer to the area or just need an extra set of hands this weekend, that's what we're here for.
